The BMW Dallas Marathon Festival Announces Exclusive Partnership With First Horizon Bank

The national banking institution will become the official bank partner of the 2024 BMW Dallas Marathon Festival

(DALLAS) Sept. 5, 2024–The BMW Dallas Marathon Festival is proud to announce that First Horizon Bank, a national financial institution offering a wide range of services and more than 418 locations nationwide, has become its official bank partner, forming a partnership that will provide VIP opportunities, on-course challenges, unique ‘winner’s circle’ photos and other exciting amenities for participants leading up to and during the annual December racing event.

“We couldn’t be more excited to announce this new partnership,” said Dr. Logan Sherman, chairman of the BMW Dallas Marathon Festival. “We’re really looking forward to working together to enhance this amazing event for our city. As part of the of the partnership, First Horizon Bank will also provide a VIP packet pickup opportunity at The Expo, held Dec. 13-14 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, as well as several enter-to-win contests that are currently in the works.

The partnership marks the first time First Horizon Bank has sponsored a major running event in Texas, signifying the institution’s ever-growing presence throughout the state.

Registration is now open for the BMW Dallas Marathon Festival. The annual BMW Dallas Marathon, Half Marathon (running and walking), 50K Ultra Marathon, and Shell Energy Relays will take place on Sunday, Dec.15. The EIGHT K, 5K (running and walking), 5K Team Challenge, Kid’s 100-Meter Dash and Oncor Kid’s Race will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, and the Friday Night Lights Mile will return on Friday, Dec. 13.

The weekend of events directly benefits Scottish Rite for Children Hospital. Since being named as the primary beneficiary in 1997, the Dallas White Rock Marathon has donated more than $4.5 million to the hospital.
